In 1977 four high school Seniors, with Britt Dillard at the helm, began a 30 minute Sunday morning radio show called the Sound of Light… It introduced a small portion of South Carolina to bands like Petra, Mylon & Broken Heart, The Newsboys and DC Talk… 5 years later when His Radio began broadcasting with an enormous signal across the Upstate, the His Radio leadership took a chance on airing 2 hours of The Sound of Light every Saturday.
