KRTY.com (formally 95.3 KRTY ) is a locally owned and operated Country Music Station that takes great pride in bringing the very best country music stars together with the fans that love that music. We do that by spending countless hours listening to new artists and new songs to find the very best in the genre and then do all we can to support them. We introduce the artist to the audience by playing their songs and inviting them to play locally. But, we don’t expect them to play for free, even in the very beginning. We’ve managed to create such a good track record for picking”what’s next” that the audience is willing to pay to see, even the brand new acts. We also support the people who make the music by holding songwriter nights that allow the audience to hear the story behind the songs they love. In other words, we present country music to San Jose and the South Bay through total immersion, and we’ve been at it for better than 25 years.
